A33 Excelsior

I’ve always had a fondness for experimental and prototype vehicle, though it seems that most of the toys and interest in geared towards the Paper Panzers of the Third Reich (not that I havent got a few of them). Still it is nice to be able to begin to balance things out with my first British vehicle: The A33 Excelsior. Based on the Cromwell, 2 were built and tested but never entered production.

The wiki page has a little on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excelsior_tank and ‘Death by Design’ by Beale hasa little on it too.

On to the model: a lovely 1/76th kit from Milicast, an as ever excellent casting in resin by them.

The crew figures is a Battlefield/Blitz casting.

Cheers,

Pete.
