1st quarter 2018- Progress Report

With the weather being so cold it was suitable to paint in my shed so I read a lot. Nevertheless the past three months I:

painted 65 20mm and 42 28mm figures, finished 2 1/72nd kits and read 37 books.

Cheers,

Pete.

  1. Yeah we are just coming out of winter here in Manila where the daily temperature was 29 to 30 degrees and heading srraight into the beat of summer where the mercury will climb to 32 to 33 degrees before the wet season settles in. So over the winter I prepped a 6mm early WW2 Belgian Army, started working on a 6mm modern Polish force, dreamt of another two or three projects, worked on my WW2 and WW1 ships databases and read about 7 books.

    I don’t have a shed 😞

Next month I should get some 6mm painted – made order to both Irregular and Scotia so I’ve a bit to paint. Look fowrard to seeing your work in the scale.

      Cheers,

      Pete.

  2. The cool of winter here in Manila is passing now and the day temperature is rising from the wintery 28 to 30 degrees to a summary 32 to 33 degrees and only a few months to wait before the wet season settles in. In the cool of winter I managed to prep WW2 6mm Belgians for Blitzkrieg Commander; almost finished prepping the 6mm modern Poles who will be the opponent to my Cold War Commander Danes; dreamt of several more projects to undertake; and read 7 books.

    I don’t have a shed 😦

    • Pete S/ SP says:

The shed is handy- it stops me tripping over all my model stuff in the house. Sadly though when the temperature is freezing it isn’t good to paint it. I can cope with the cold but the paint acts funny- gets gloopy and takes ages to dry, that and my breath condenses on the lead figures. I bet the heat provides its own problems in its own way.

      Cheers,

      Pete.

      • Sorry about the double comment … the firat one disappeared from the phone and i rhoighr it was lost in the aether. Obviously it was not lost.

  3. Impressive mate. I never keep track of what I’ve painted or done really. I probably should for fun.

This post needs pictures. I mean, the numbers are great, but the photos are what Bring The Noise for this sort of stuff!

    • Pete S/ SP says:

True Azazel, I’ve got a bit behind on catching up with my photo posting. I’ve got a few on a memory card to post and a tray of completed figures to be photographed too. I need to get my finger out….

      Cheers,

      Pete.

      • Azazel says:

No worries mate. Wasnt trying to be rude or anything. It’s just that being able to see the figures makes it so much more than just reading about them. Especially when you have painted so many. πŸ‘

  5. Impressive count. Especially the book list:-)
