From the Shed: 40k Inquisitor models.

I ortiginally bought these for an Inquisimunda campaign that was running at Cellar Dwellers that I started to get involved in… although now I am unsure what the state of that campaign is. Either way they are nice example from the early and mid 1990s 40k universe. I’m sure I’ll be able to work them into some games in the future.

From left to right we have a Missionary, an Inquisitor in Terminator armour and, a Preacher.

Cheers,

Pete.

From the Shed: Nurgle Daemon Engines… take two.

I don’t know what is happening to my posts. Things aren’t saving in drafts properly. I create a post then when it gets published there is nothing there. Will be a user error I’m sure… no matter.

I’ve painted up a Mythitic Blight Hauler (r) and a Fetid Bloat Drone (l) for my Death Guard 40k army. THey are the easy build models so were quick to build and fun to paint. Should be good to use in the game as they are surprisingly fast for my force yet still pack quite a punch.

Cheers,

Pete.

From the Shed: Nurgle Daemon Prince

This is going to be the leader and centrepiece for my army- I really enjoyed painting him up and went to town with the washes and detailing. I imagined him as a Chaos Marine who has achieved his aim of becoming a Chaos Champion, rather than ending up as a Chaos Spawn, as seen in the previous post. Those 40k fans of a certain vintage will remember the Chaos campaigns you could run from the Realms of Chaos books. I alwasys fancied that sort of narrative driven skirmish campaign. I guess Necromunda fulfills that need now but I may yet go back to the old Rogue Trader ideas.

Cheers,

Pete.

From the Shed: Death Guard Characters

I’ve been using lockdown to get my Nurgle army painted, getting very close to it being finished now.

Over the next few days I’ll put up a series of posts showing what I’ve added to it…

First up some Character models:

Felthius, Typhus and a Lord of Contagion.

Tallyman, Malignant Plaguecaster, Plague Surgeon and Foul Blightspawn.

Some of these I’ll be able to use in Kill Team too which should be fun.

Cheers,

Pete.

From the Shed: The latest expansion for my Van Saar gang.

Given that the local club where I play Necromunda has been closed since lockdown I thought it would be a good time to get the next 10 of my gang painted… I know that makes 30 but it gives me plenty of options to swap out models as my gang grows in campaigns (which will hopefully restart sooner rather than later). Also I still had some of the Forge World Weapon parts to use up.

The only down side is I’ve gone off the colour scheme I picked for them now. I’ll still use them as they are a good gang but I was less enthused about painting them than I thought I would be.

Still on with the pics.

The full 10.

The shield carriers – hand flamer, plasma pistol, flamer, multimelta and las carbine.

Gangers with melta gun, combi plasma/ las gun and servo claw, Graviton gun, stave and sub las carbine, twin plasma pistols.

Cheers,

Pete.
